adidas Skateboarding kicked off the first night of its 10-day, Das Days activation with an interactive launch of its all-new 3ST footwear line. Hundreds gathered at the Das Days Community Center, located at the iconic Seventh Letter Gallery in the Fairfax District of Los Angeles, to create concept footwear prototypes and custom shoe designs provided by the brand’s mobile MakerLab workshop.
Present throughout the event were adidas Skateboarding athletes Nora Vasconcellos, Na-kel Smith, Lucas Puig, Marc Johnson, Alec Majerus, and Felipe Gustavo.
Das Days continues through Sunday, April 14. Highlights include the Das Days Block Party featuring Chief Keef, Showcase X art exhibition curated by renowned street artist Shepard Fairey, and the City Copa skate contests in partnership with local skate retailers Kingswell and Brooklyn Projects. adidas Skateboarding collaborates with French skate brand Hélas to unveil its second limited edition collaboration. For Hélas’ latest venture, adidas Pro rider Lucas Puig and his crew draw influence from an unexpected source — 90s anime — to create a modern take on tennis fashion. The resulting collection perfectly encapsulates Hélas’ nonchalant aesthetic: a full collection of pastel-hued sneakers, polos, pants, and other essentials ideal for irreverent days spent skating or otherwise.

adidas Skateboarding and Hélas puts a playful spin on the Lucas Premiere x Hélas shoe, combining court heritage with subtle nods to the anime universe on the insole. Delivered in an understated eggshell colorway, the shoe features a premium leather upper, which is reinforced behind the toe for added durability. The silhouette is also complemented by a breathable textile lining, rests on a grippy and supportive outsole for unparalleled boardfeel, and is finished with a debossed leather heel cap.

To pair with the footwear, adidas Skateboarding and Hélas co-created a pastel-hued apparel capsule combining hallmark three-stripes design with laid back French style. Comprised of a jacket, pants, Climalite advanced polo, t-shirt made from cotton sourced by the Better Cotton Initiative, four-panel cap, and modern duffel bag, the adidas Skateboarding x Hélas assortment culminates in a stylish, yet fully skateable collection.
In support of the adidas Skateboarding x Hélas upcoming footwear and apparel collaboration, adidas releases “Hélas x adidas Skateboarding /// The Ultimate Challenge”, a special manga-themed commercial starring Hélas label mates Lucas Puig, Stephen Khou, and Clement Brunel as they’ve never appeared before.
When a super villain and his band of evil henchmen descend upon earth to kidnap tennis icon Stefan Edberg, Earth officials enlist the help of the Hélas crew super skaters to stop the villain in his tracks. Complete with laser attacks, explosions, and cameo by the French rapper Kekra, “Hélas x adidas Skateboarding /// The Ultimate Challenge” highlights the adidas Skateboarding x Hélas collection in a rare action-packed animation.
