Münster, 10.04.2019 - The countdown has begun! In just two and a half months, the European Championships of Skateboarding will take place from 20.-23.-06.2019 as part of the Ruhrgames.
The best skateboarders in Europe will compete within a unique factory set- ting at the Duisburg-Nord Landscape Park. In addition to the contest, side events will take place such as the „Visual Vacation – Celebrating European Skateboard Media“ evening event, „ Secret Spot Mission“ with 1.500€ cash for tricks and the „Evil Knievel Challenge“.

Over 40 skaters have already confirmed their participation and top pros from across Europe are added each day. Those not yet qualified or invited can register now on the Euro-SB website and take part in the pre-qualifi- cation on 21.06.2018. A world-class judge panel including Pat Duffy, Jeremie Daclin, Martin Karas, Flo Marfaing and Mirko Holzmüller ensures that skaters are judged accurately and fairly.

El próximo sábado 23 de marzo, en Utopía 126, las mujeres tendrán un espacio en el que disfrutar de clases de skate, exposiciones artísticas, talleres y otras actividades relacionadas con el patín totalmente gratis.
Después del gran éxito de la GIRLS SKATE NIGHT el pasado 2018, Vans vuelve a Barcelona de la mano de su nueva experiencia «GIRLS SKATE CAMP» con el propósito de seguir apoyando e inspirando a las próximas generaciones de mujeres a través del skate.
La experiencia «GIRLS SKATE CAMP» se enmarca dentro de la nueva campaña«Vanguards» con la que Vans mantiene su compromiso con el skate para que este crezca y perdure. Se trata de una exploración de cómo el estilo, la individualidad y la creatividad conforman el skate a través de la perspectiva de sus riders internacionales Lizzie Armanto, Yndiara Asp, Brighton Zeuner y Mami Tezuka. «La identidad de nuestra marca se inspira continuamente en personalidades como las mujeres que conoces en la campaña Vanguards», afirma Erwin Federizo, director creativo ejecutivo global de Vans.
Dando el pistoletazo de salida en Londres el pasado sábado 9 de marzo, justo después del Día Internacional de la Mujer, «Vanguards» agrupará una serie de skate camps en ciudades como París, Berlín, Milán y Barcelona. Su turno en la Ciudad Condal, Utopía 126, donde se ofrecerá una demostración con las riders más reconocidas de la escena local junto a nombres internacionales de primera línea como Amy Ram (Reino Unido), Helena Long (Reino Unido), Shani Bru (Francia) y Lucy Adams (Reino Unido).
Las clases de skate gratuitas son el plato fuerte de la jornada, disponibles para todas las niñas y mujeres que se inscriban. Pero «GIRLS SKATE CAMP» también ofrecerá distintos talleres DIY (Hazlo tú mismo) como la customización y construcción de tablas y la creación de chapas personalizadas; además podrán disfrutar de la proyección de auténticos videos de skate, una exposición de las fotografías y música a cargo de DJ. Además de clases gratuitas para principiantes, «GIRLS SKATE CAMP» también contará como novedad con un «Cash for Tricks» para las chicas con más experiencia: Vans repartirá premios en metálico para quien realice los mejores trucos con su tabla.

Vans Park Series, the premier park terrain skateboarding tour in the world, today announced the 2019 Pro Tour schedule. Anticipating another historic season in competitive skateboarding culminating into the World Championships, the Vans Park Series (VPS) will touch down in five major countries this year, expanding its programming to equally represent four global Pro Tour qualifiers for men and women, and sustaining its commitment to endorsing prize parity for both divisions.

As for the World Championships, this will be held for the very first time on American soil in Salt Lake City, Utah on September 7. The prospective 2019 men’s and women’s park terrain skateboarding world champions will be crowned before a roaring live audience at Utah State Fairpark. With a premium live webcast produced at every stop, the Vans Park Series will bring an exhilarating competitive skateboarding showcase for local spectators and fans abroad.
Further cementing the series’ mission to grow skateboarding participation worldwide, Vans Park Series plans to support the ongoing development of skate communities through the construction and donation of three state-of-the-art, VPS-certified park terrain skate facilities at select 2019 VPS Pro Tour locations.
