Bring it back is a project that aims to recover the main original elements of the Plaça dels Països Catalans, the iconic spot of Sants Estació plaza from Barcelona.
On Sunday, May 29th, an event took place to celebrate the rebuilt of emblematic obtacles such as a new picnic table and the mythical wooden bench.

In celebration of the release of skatedeluxe x Nike SB Night Pack, a nocturnal event took place last Saturday, November 23rd at Bobila DIY. Following the support last year, by the skatedeluxe skate shop, to the Bobila DIY Project to carry out the construction of the pyramid. This was the perfect occasion to meet and celebrate this Night Pack collaboration in style, since last year it was impossible to hold any event given the exceptional circumstances of the pandemic.
It was not a regular event since it was held, as previously mentioned, at night due to the different reflective elements of the capsule collection. People were summoned from 18:00 hrs. although different skaters were arriving throughout the day. By that time the spot was already overflowing with people ready to enjoy and have fun. Pol Catena with a BS Tail Slide in the quarter pipe where the DJ was located and just behind the fence where part of the different garments that make up the collection were presented, began to heat up the atmosphere. First a Skate Jam was held so that everyone could participate, regardless of skate level, in this skateboarding celebration. Numerous stuff was given away among the skaters who were participating and even among the public in the stands. Everyone seemed to be having a good time and enjoying themselves, with DJ Sam at the turntable playing the best beats to the delight of the crowd.
Following the Skate Jam the Cash for Tricks took place. Once the sun went down at Bobila DIY, the spotlights were turned on and the skaters who participated ripped up big time in each of the different sections where they were held: curb, wall ride and pyramid. The level of skateboarding shown was such a blast, landing one trick after another nonstop that made the job of awarding cash to different skaters on the spot very difficult because it just wasn't going to be enough. They did not leave a single inch of the different obstacles without ripping and especially an epic session took place when one after another they did not stop landing tricks jumping over the pyramid, which was where the last Cash for Tricks was performed.
After the binge of tricks and to end the event, the clip of the skatedeluxe x Nike SB Night Pack was projected on the screen. The one and only Slappy Challenge was bomb, as usual! On Saturday they had crazy Slappy Grinds, bump to bump big ollies, good food by Toké and the after party at OS Bar. On Sunday, it happened at HDV with Cash For Tricks on the Bench, the Pyramid and the big set of stairs. A tons of rippers were there : Bastien Marlin, Théo Moga, Vincent Jugnet, Flo Maillet, Arno Wagner, Etienne Turnbull, Joe Hill, François Tizon, Fred Plocque Santos, Arthur Fontis, Guillaume Colucci and more. They hit the streets of Paris to check out some classic Parisian spots with TJ Rogers, Lucas Rabelo, Angelo Caro, Gustavo Ribeiro & more as they get ready for the Red Bull Paris Conquest! Paris has a skateboarding history dating back to the 1970’s both at the Trocadero where slalom was all the rage (as immortalised by the 1978 short film Trocadero Blue Citron) and at the Beton Hurlant skatepark and Bowl de la Villette. It wasn’t until the mid-1980’s, however, that skaters began to explore the city streets beyond the Trocadero, discovering new playgrounds like ‘Le Dome’, Chatelet, La Defense, Creteil, Bercy and so many others. For the Paris Conquest event they recreated some of the French capitol's most famous skate spots in a unique street course at the foot of the Eiffel Tower.

“With the rare times that run my expectations of building something big in Bobila were almost nil.
Until one day the skatedeluxe skateshop contacted me and the instructions were simple, we want you to attack the central pyramid of the spot!
I spent 2 weeks talking with quite a few skaters and the concept was quite clear, they wanted a curb with a wallie, some eurogap and above all a long and smooth pyramid for all tastes.
Franky and mini Butcher came up with several clear ideas and from their drawings my job was to simplify and arrange the design.
A month later they approved the budget and we got down to work. Edu (el enterrado) David (Parse) Alex (tabalot) these 3 people were in charge of making the big pyramid that measured 7 meters wide by 11 meters long…
It was a very tough two months of construction, with lots of laughs and unbelievable support! Carrillo, Arni, Xavi, Jr, Nico, Emilee, Pol, Alberto, Manu, Toni, Alvar, Catena and Andrés from Caribú DIY... and all the new generations of the neighborhood thank you for helping skateboarding!
The final result of this spot I could describe it to you here but it is better that you come to the neighborhood and get your own opinions. Many thanks to Javi and skatedeluxe skate shop for making our dreams come true!

In a year with a pandemic that has taken the entire world by surprise, Bobila DIY crew has been able to bring to fruition this great project that aims to support the local scene and skateboarding in general. In circumstances that were not ideal, from the scorching sun in August to the restrictions imposed due to Covid-19. An entire obstacle course that Bobila DIY crew has managed to overcome in the best possible way: with unity, friendship and effort. If you have the opportunity to visit the spot, do not hesitate to enjoy a good session and say hello to the locals who, together with the skatedeluxe skate shop, have made it possible to create an obstacle for everyone to enjoy under exceptional conditions. Enjoy below the edit featuring Bobila Crew alongside skatedeluxe team riders Pol Catena and Ike Fromme ripping up! Let’s hope we’ll soon be able to held events and bigger session at Bobila DIY to enjoy skateboarding at fullest with friends and give the new obstacle a proper session test for everyone.
