Yaje Popson drops “YAJE´ for Closer” filmed across Japan, NYC and Brazil

Yaje Popson presents “YAJE´ for Closer”, a raw and personal skate video part for Closer Skateboarding Magazine, built from a mash-up of different cameras, eras and previously unused footage.

Filmed across Japan, New York City and Brazil, the part blends skateboarding with Yaje’s own photography intro, giving the video a unique narrative feel while keeping the skating front and center.

After releasing more than 15 video parts, Yaje Popson continues to reinvent his motivation and perspective on skateboarding with this new release for Closer Skateboarding Magazine.

The project was edited by Yuuki Morishita, bringing together years of footage into a cohesive and inspiring skate edit.
