Today, Nike Vision is dropping new SB Sunglass styles with pro skateboarders Justin Brock, Sean Malto, Trevor Colden and more. In addition to the sunglass collection, the brand is also dropping the first-ever Nike SB Optical collection – designed for action sports athletes who wear prescription glasses.

Justin Brock, who wears and skates in optical eyewear, spoke about the need for the collection and the stigma that comes along with skateboarders/action sports athletes who need to wear optical eyewear in the video below.

This Fall, premium sports eyewear brand Nike Vision announces the release of the Fall 2017 SB Eyewear Collection. The collection is comprised of three new skate-inspired sunglass styles and the first-ever SB optical release, designed with insight from professional skateboarders.  Bridging the gap between street style and performance function, the Nike Vision SB line takes cues from skateboarders and pays homage to skate spots around the world.

The Nike Vision SB collection reforms classic looks with modern design. Inspired by the skater who is always unpredictable, the collection features ultra-light, slim profiles that break from the norm. The collection will be worn by Nike SB professional skaters Justin Brock, Sean Malto and Trevor Colden. The new assortment of eyewear features iconic Nike SB details, colors and patterns that are incorporated in the brand’s shoe and apparel collections. The line provides comfort and durability, including a lightweight, extra-slim frame for easy storage and a seamless transition from the skatepark to the streets.

New for Fall, Nike Vision introduces the first-ever SB optical collection, providing action sports athletes with on-trend prescription eyewear. The optical line was created in response to the success of the Nike SB sunglass collection, providing a holistic approach to the skater’s life on-and-off the board. The first-of-its-kind collection was designed to offer a secure fit, precise optics and signature Nike SB style during activity and everyday life.

“Growing up skating with glasses was pretty normal because I wore glasses ever since the 6th grade, which was the time I started skating,” said Justin Brock. “The earlier challenges of skating with glasses was figuring out how to keep them from falling off. What I like most about the Nike Vision glasses is that they are stable and lightweight with a bunch of different frames and colors for your overall style.”

The overall features and benefits of the collection include and an extra-slim 4-base frame with low-profile, tapered temple arms that fit easily under a hat. The eyewear also includes durable, high-tension hinges and iconic SB details. Each of the Nike SB sunglass styles feature 100% UVA & UVB protection.
